The Team

Reimagine Entrepreneurship

Creating a community where collaboration births benefit for all.
Birmingham Enterprise Community is a new breed of entrepreneurial community. One which looks to work alongside individuals, other organisations and institutions towards common goals rather than individual pursuits. We are taking the Midlands Startup ecosystem to the next level to help not only start businesses but to get them scaling up too.

Our Team

Meet the people making this happen. Our team is tasked with meeting the needs laid out by the BEC committee and wider community.

  • It soon expanded to an initiative covering all 5 Birmingham universities

  • We held our launch event in January 2019 with 170+ students, staff, graduates and entrepreneurs

  • We now aim to accelerate 40 startups, engage 10,000 students & graduates and grow to 5,000 + members by 2022

“Birmingham Enterprise Community’s FORWARD accelerator programme is exactly what our region needs. Birmingham is the youngest major city in Europe, with under 25s accounting for nearly 40% of the population, so this is a fantastic initiative to help fresh, young minds to succeed in business and entrepreneurship”
